Spirit LXVI * 28/02/2023 is an elegant jet-black PRE stallion with elastic movement, natural cadence and remarkable mental maturity for his young age. Unspoiled, curious and exceptionally people-oriented, he impresses with his willingness to work and his trusting relationship with humans. He is being professionally trained with great care, patience and understanding, already showing outstanding talent for classical dressage and Working Equitation. Through a calm and progressive training approach, he is already performing travers in walk and trot as well as smooth, balanced transitions. Spirit responds willingly to voice, weight and subtle aids while remaining relaxed, attentive and eager to learn. He has been worked from the ground in order to build up flexibility and trust, so he has learnt the Spanish Walk and reference with ease, developing confidence and joy in learning. As he has been encouraged to find his own balance, allowing him to maintain rhythm even on a loose rein he doesn’t require a strong contact in the mouth.
Spirit is currently kept in a professional training stable with children, dogs and many different horses. This varied environment has made him confident, curious and remarkably calm to face new situations. He has also been trained to accept mounting from both the left and right side, reflecting the thoughtful and complete nature of his education. He also hacks out without any problems.
His father Grandioso XVII Yedra, is sired by calificado Triunfador MFE (Escalera, (Video here https://youtu.be/TWLUrhXeY44?feature=shared) who has been recommended by Ancce as dressage breeding stallion, his lines are directly connected to some more very important ancestors: Triunfodor’s father Cartujano LXVIII (calificado and dressage breeding stallion) is sired by Ranchero XIV who is even a mejorante approved stallion (Escalera). Through Grandioso XVII Yedra, Spirit is also a great-grandson of the celebrated black dressage stallion Amoroso XL http://www.andalusianhorse.cz/cs/amoroso-xl/, well known for his influence in Spanish PRE breeding.
