Purchasing a horse in Andalucia

What does the process of purchasing a horse in Spain involve? What can I expect?

* personal pick-up and drop-off to and from Malaga airport (approx. 35 km drive) for a transfer charge of € 50;

* alternatively, we can organise a rent-a-car from our partners “Auto-Martin”, who will meet you at your arrival gate;

* we will visit various horse stables/ranches/private sellers in the area in order for you to become acquainted with the previously selected horses;

* accommodation in one of our guest rooms at the Finca Alqueria, breakfast included, or if you prefer in a nearby hotel/alternative arrangements;

* support and advice during your stay regarding your search for the suitable horse, potentially with Photo/Video analysis, as well as tips and suggestions for possible recreational activities in Spain, e.g. places of excursion, restaurants, beaches, markets, recommendations for riding lessons and much more;

* organising the vet check prior to the purchase and professional transport arrangements to your home stable, as well as all the handling of necessary paper work to complete the transaction;

Most of our customers have already found their “dream horse” on our website. During your stay you will have the opportunity to directly experience those horses that you previously only knew from photographs, watch them in action or even try them out yourself!

We don’t just offer stallions, but also a wide variety of geldings, mares, fillies and youngsters, sold with and without P.R.E papers.

When you have decided to make the purchase, we will organise the pre-purchase veterinarian check-up.

We also cooperate with various shipping companies. These will employ appropriate care and comfortable conditions for your horse. (Click on the photos for the link)

The shipping usually takes about 3-4 days and costs between € 950 and € 1,300.
